Gem Diamonds Ltd - 70% owner of Letseng diamond mine in Lesotho, southern Africa - Finds 145.55 carat type II white diamond at Leseng mine on Saturday. The stone is the ninth diamond of more than 100 carats found so far in 2024. The value of such large stones varies widely. In the first quarter of this year, Gem Diamonds said it sold 113.11 carat white diamond for $39,345 per carat, or $4.5 million.
