21 investment trusts now considered ‘dividend heroes’

Invesco Income Growth Trust (IVI) has become the latest investment trust to increase its dividend every year for at least the past 20 years.

The Association of Investment Companies says there are now 21 qualifying investment trusts, four of which have lifted their dividend for 50 consecutive years. These     include City of London Investment Trust (CTY), Bankers Investment Trust (BNKR) and Alliance Trust (ATST).
