Spectris PLC - Egham, Surrey-based supplier of precision instrumentation and controls - Chief Financial Officer Derek Harding purchases 4,000 shares at 2,545.45 pence each on Monday, totalling £101,818.

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Heath purchases 5,840 shares at a price of 2,549.00p each on Monday, totalling £148,861.

Earlier Monday, Spectris had called off talks with Oxford Instruments PLC over a potential takeover, blaming the market uncertainty caused by Russia's attack on its neighbour. Oxford Instruments confirmed at the end of February it had received a takeover offer proposal from Spectris worth about £1.8 billion. Oxford Instruments makes scientific tools for research and industry.

Current stock price: 2,557.00 pence, up 4.0%
