Eqtec PLC said on Monday it launched a subsidiary company in France and completed a collaboration agreement for the handling of contaminated plastic waste.

Shares in Eqtec were up 23% at 0.98 pence on Monday morning in London.

The Cork, Ireland-based waste-to-value technology company said it formally entered the French market through the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Eqtec France SAS.

Eqtec said the new subsidiary represents ‘another step in the company's formalisation of go-to-market entities to support deployment of its technologies and manage local pipelines, partnerships and projects in a number of geographies.’

In addition, Eqtec signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Revel, France-based industrial waste recycling specialist SEPS SAS. The agreement is to develop contaminated waste treatment plants.
