Quilter PLC - London-based wealth manager - Glyn Jones will step down as chair at the company's annual general meeting scheduled for May 12 in order ‘to pursue other interests’, Quilter says. The search for a successor to Jones is ‘progressing well’ and an announcement on the selection of the new chair will be made ‘in due course’.

Quilter, whose assets under management and administration stood at £111.8 billion as at the end of December 31, has appointed Ruth Markland, who is currently senior independent director, to be interim chair. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval, with effect from the conclusion of the AGM. Tim Breedon, a non-executive director, will assume the role of senior independent director for the duration of Markland's period as interim chair.
