Tullow Oil PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Enquest PLC Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Swinney to the same role at the company.
Swinney will join the West Africa-focused oil and gas producer as its new CFO later this year.
Swinney has served as Enquest's founding CFO since 2010, where he has led a number of asset acquisitions and major capital markets transactions.
Tullow Chair Phuthuma Nhleko commented: ‘Jonathan has a proven track record in the oil & gas sector of working in complex operating environments and driving capital discipline and efficiency.
‘He has the right mix of sector and corporate finance experience that Tullow needs and I am looking forward to working with Jonathan...as we build Tullow as a leader in the African oil & gas sector.’
Tullow Oil shares were 0.2% lower at 53.12 pence each in London on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, Enquest shares were 7.9% higher at 31.51 pence each after posting bumper annual results earlier Thursday.
