Medica Group PLC - Hastings, England-based company which provides services such as x-ray and MRI scan analysis to hospitals - Posts improved profit and revenue in 2021, boosted by its NightHawk business which offers diagnostic emergency teleradiology support.

Pretax profit in 2021 more than triples to £7.3 million from £2.1 million the year before. Revenue jumps to £61.9 million from £36.8 million. Medica Group proposes a total dividend of 2.68 pence per share, up 5% over 2020.

The company expects to extend contracts from its NightHawk service in 2022, its Chair Roy Davis says. For the year, the company's focus ‘is on the recruitment of new sub-specialist radiologists, as well as working closely with our existing reporter network to improve the overall efficiency through better systems and processes,’ says Chief Executive Stuart Quin.

Current stock price: 165.90 pence, up 3.7% on Monday
