EU member states have frozen around €30 billion worth of assets including ships, helicopters, real estate and art due to the sanctions on Russia over the war in Ukraine, the European Commission said on Friday.
People, businesses and institutions from Russia and its close ally Belarus have been targeted since Moscow invaded its neighbour on February 24. In addition, some €196 billion in bank transfers had been blocked, the EU executive branch said.
