Africa Opportunity Fund Ltd - Cayman Islands-based closed-end investment company - Sees gains on investment surge to $11.2 million in 2021 from $482,924 the previous year. Income swings to a profit of $10.7 million from a loss of $401,744 the year prior. Per share, earnings swing to a profit of $0.43 from a loss of $0.01. At December 31, net asset value per share stands at $1.05, up from $0.65 at the same time the previous year.

Company says its 2022 performance will be impacted by rising inflation and the outcome of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
