Unicorn AIM VCT PLC - Devon-based venture capital trust - Net asset value per share at March 31 was 195.7 pence, down 21% from 248.6p in September. Total return per share before dividends paid in the half-year was negative 17%, underperforming its benchmark, the FTSE AIM All-Share Total Return Index, which fell by 16% in the same six-month period.

Dividend is unchanged at 3.0p per share but declares special interim dividend of 32.0p, having received about £55.1 million from the £1.49 billion sale of Interactive Investor Services Ltd to abdrn PLC.

Unicorn AIM VCT believes it ‘is well-placed to deliver strong growth over time, while also being encouraged that the pipeline of potential new investments remains promising’.
