Kropz PLC on Wednesday said that Chief Executive Officer Mark Summers plans to step down at the end of 2022.

Summers joined the African phosphate developer back in 2015. In February 2020 he was appointed as interim CEO and in August later that year was placed into the permanent position.

Kropz said that Summers will continue to work with the company and his replacement, once appointed, to ensure an orderly hand over and that the day-to-day activities of the business continues.

The process to find a successor has commenced, it added.

Non-Executive Chair Robin William Renwick said: ‘Both I and the board have been extremely grateful to Mark for his excellent service to the company over the past several years.’

Kropz shares were untraded at 7.75 pence each in London on Wednesday around midday.
