London-based technology-focused investor Pires Investments PLC on Friday touted the progress of companies in its investment portfolio.

Low6 Ltd launched a sports betting platform and started a strategic partnership with Inside The Pocket, a free-to-play aggregation platform. ‘Low6 will deliver...free-to-play products to a new network of operators,’ Pires explained.

Meanwhile, VividQ Ltd appointed Francois Auque as chair on July 14. He is a partner at independent European private equity firm InfraVia Capital Partners, said Pires.

The update comes a day after Pires announced its planned takeover by investor Tern PLC failed. 54% of Pires shareholders voted for the takeover, therefore not passing the required 75% threshold. Pires is no longer in an offer period.

Pires shares were 0.6% lower at 4.08 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
