BWA Group PLC - London-based minerals exploration investment company - Awarded new licence known as the Nkoteng two rutile sands licence in central Cameroon. Licence will be valid for three years with effect from August 10 until August 9, 2025, allowing the exploration of rutile, ilmenite, zircon and other related minerals.

The new licence increases BWA's in-country licence portfolio to three heavy minerals sands licences, bringing the total area to 1,129 square kilometres from 629 square kilometres.

‘We are pleased to have the Nkoteng 2 Licence granted which almost doubles our prospective land holding in the area and look forward to exploring the additional 60 km of river system and associated floodplains that the licence gives us access to,’ said Interim Chair James Butterfield.
