Irish unemployment inched down in July, according to the latest figures from the nation's statistics office.
The monthly unemployment rate for people aged 15 to 74 in July was 4.2%, down from 4.8% the previous month, numbers from the Central Statistics Office showed.
The seasonally adjusted number of people unemployed was 113,000 in July, down slightly from 113,900 in June and falling by 36,000 from 149,000 a year earlier.
For men, this figured dipped to 4.1% from 4.2% month-on-month, while the rate for women remained unchanged at 4.3%.
Youth unemployment - defined as those between the ages of 15 and 24 - climbed to 10.9% from 10.8% the previous month.
