Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust PLC on Friday reported its net asset value rose in the first half of 2022.
Dunedin Enterprise is an investor in UK mid-market management buyouts.
NAV per share grew 1.6% to 567.5 pence as at June 30 from 558.8p at December 31, 2021. NAV total return was 4.0%, outperforming its benchmark, the Small Cap Index, which returned negative 16%. A year ago, Dunedin underperformed against its benchmark with a total return of 21% versus its benchmark returning 29%.
It posted a brief outlook, with Chair Duncan Budge stating: ‘Following the invasion of Ukraine our portfolio companies have had to contend with a level of uncertainty seldom seen. Inflationary pressures and economic disruption have provided a headwind which looks likely to continue for some time.’
Dunedin Enterprise shares were 2.9% higher at 535.00 pence each in London on Friday morning.
