M&G Credit Income Investment Trust PLC - debt investment firm - Net asset value per share at June 30, end of first half, down 5.9% to 95.49 pence from 101.44p at the end of December. NAV total return in six months to June 30 is negative 3.4% versus positive 3.3% a year ago. Declares 1.78p per share interim dividend, up 19% from 1.50p a year prior. Cites credit market volatility for fall in total return.

Looking ahead, firm says ‘our investment manager believes that current market conditions provide a good opportunity to position the portfolio to deliver increased yield over the longer term.’
