Sanderson Design Group PLC on Tuesday reported a rise in both half-year revenue and profit, saying it expects to meet annual expectations.
Shares were up 8.1% at 104.81 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
Sanderson Design is a Buckinghamshire-based interior design and furnishings company.
For the six months that ended on July 31, revenue rose 0.7% to £57.9 million from £57.5 million a year before, representing a ‘resilient sales performance in a challenging market’, Sanderson said. Most positively, North America revenue rose by 13% to £9.7 million from £8.6 million a year before.
Pretax profit increased by 12% to £5.5 million from £4.9 million.
Chair Dianne Thompson said: ‘Our current year performance to date is testament to the diversity of our model, and we continue to anticipate meeting board expectations for the full year.’
Sanderson declared an interim dividend of 0.75 pence per share, unchanged from a year prior.
