Smartspace Software PLC - Suffolk, England-based software company - Notes growing interest in its desk management software as interim revenue surges. Pretax loss in the six months to July 31 narrows to £1.1 million from £1.8 million a year prior. Revenue grows 45% to £3.7 million from £2.5 million. Cost of sale of goods widens by 61% to £909,000 from £564,000.
Revenue from its Space Connect unit climbs 85% to £305,000 from £165,000. SwipedOn grows 48% to £2.1 million from £1.4 million. Space Connect offers a software that is focused on desk booking, while SwipedOn offers a booking software that gives businesses the ability to manage shared desk spaces from a central application.
Looking ahead, firm is confident in growth. Chief Executive Officer Frank Beechinor states: ‘With the pandemic mostly behind us, we are seeing a change in sentiment towards efficiency and work place optimisation. This shift is beginning to contribute to sales growth, with growing interest in both Space Connect and SwipedOn. Growth in Evoko Naso receipts offers further promise of revenue growth in the second half of the year and beyond.’
