Caracal Gold PLC - East Africa-focused gold producer - In the 18 months ended June 30, posts a pretax loss of £15.5 million, widened from a loss of £1.7 million in the 12 months ended December 31, 2020. Comes as administrative expenses soar to £7.2 million from £10,000. Revenue jumps to £6.9 million in the 18 months from £1.4 million in the same comparison period as production increases "substantially". At June 30, assets total £9.7 million, up from £5.2 million at the end of 2020. Carcal says the 2022/2023 financial year is set to be "exciting" for the firm thanks to its ongoing exploration programmes in Kenya and Tanzania.
