NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd said on Wednesday it appointed former Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd chair Helen Mahy as their new chair from August 2023.
The Guernsey-based investor and asset manager in the solar sector said Helen Mahy has been appointed as a non-executive director from April 1, 2023, and will succeed the firm’s current chair, Kevin Lyon in August.
Outgoing Chair Lyon said of Mahy: ‘We believe her experience and long-standing commitment to the renewable energy sector will allow her to bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to the board and support the company’s further expansion.’
Mahy, who retired as chair Renewables Infrastructure Group on October 31, currently sits as a non-executive director of SSE PLC and Gowling WLG UK LLP and is a commissioner for the Equality & Human Rights Commission. In the past, she worked as group general counsel and company secretary of National Grid PLC.
