Ireland unemployment rate declines to 4.4% in November

Ireland’s unemployment edged down in November, figures on Wednesday showed.

According to the Central Statistics Office, the nation’s jobless rate was 4.4% in November, slightly lower than a revised rate of 4.5% in October.

In November of 2021, the unemployment rate was 5.2%.

‘The seasonally adjusted number of persons unemployed was 117,800 in November 2022, compared with 118,200 in October 2022. There was a decrease of 19,900 in the seasonally adjusted number of persons unemployed in November 2022 when compared with a year earlier,’ said CSO statistician John Mullane.
