Industrial production in Ireland increased at the end of 2022, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office on Tuesday.
In the fourth quarter, industrial production in manufacturing increased 5.2% from the previous quarter. Annually, it increased 26%, accelerating from the 2.1% annual growth in the third quarter.
‘This rise in industrial output largely reflects increases in export manufacturing activity, as well as contract manufacturing in the multinational sectors. For instance, External Trade statistics in the first 11 months of 2022 have shown a similar general upward trend,’ said CSO statistician Eamonn Cleary.
