European Opportunities Trust PLC - managed by Devon Equity Management Ltd and investing in European companies offering capital growth - Net asset value per share amounts to 844.5 pence at November 30, down 0.7% from 850.6p at May 31. NAV return for the six months ended November 30 was negative 0.4%, slightly behind MSCI Europe Total Return Index which returns negative 0.1%. Says the ‘concentrated nature of its portfolio, and its high degree of differentiation from the Index can lead to shorter-term periods of underperformance’ during the half-year period. Looking ahead, says it is confident that its portfolio is well-positioned for growth.
