Journeo PLC - Information systems and transport technical services group - Signs a software as a service contract with Transport for Wales to supply a new displays content management system. Says the CMS is for the Welsh bus data content management system, for an initial contract value of £1 million. Journeo says this contract will offer principle authorities in Wales the ability to utilise a nationwide CMS to deliver high accuracy information. Adds that the initial software engineering and configuration work is underway and is expected to produce revenue of about £500,000 during the current year.
Chief Executive Officer Russ Singleton says: ‘TfW have been heavily engaged with the transport market in recent years and we are delighted that they have selected our highly scalable solution to provide passengers with consistent and reliable bus departure information across Wales. The Journeo Portal has been developed to operate across transport modes and is capable of connecting to displays from any vendor that adopts the latest open communication standards.’
