FW Thorpe PLC - Worcestershire-based lighting systems firm - Posts revenue of £81.9 million for the six months ended on December 31, up 29% from £63.5 million a year before. Says the increase in revenue is due to improvement at almost all group companies.Pretax profit is £10.6 million, up 25% from £8.5 million, as basic earnings per share rises by 21% to 7.15 pence per share from 5.91p a year earlier. Operating profit rises to £11.0 million from £8.8 million. Declares an interim dividend of 1.62 pence each, up 5.4% from 1.54p a year prior. Looking ahead, FW Thorpe expects a positive outlook for the second half of the year.
