Yourgene Health PLC said on Friday Chief Financial Officer Barry Hextall was resigning as a director with immediate effect.
The Manchester-based medical diagnostics company said Hextall was stepping down ‘to pursue other opportunities.’
Hextall, who has been with the company for eight years, will stay for six months during the handover period and will remain company secretary until a full-time replacement is appointed.
The company appointed Peter Charles as interim CFO, while it looks for a permanent substitution. Yourgene said Charles was an ‘experienced interim CFO, with broad cross sector experience’.
‘The process of recruiting a full-time CFO will begin immediately and it is expected to conclude in time for the full-time CFO to benefit from the agreed handover period,’ the firm said.
Shares were down 1.0% at 0.30 pence in London on Friday morning.
