IGas Energy PLC on Monday said that its geothermal business, GT Energy, has been selected by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a geothermal heat solution.

The London-based onshore energy company has been chosen as preferred contractor through the Carbon and Energy Fund Framework, which is designed to fund, facilitate and project manage complex energy infrastructure upgrades for the NHS and wider public sector.

Under the contract, GT Energy will deliver a geothermal heat plant for the supply of renewable heat to the hospital on a long-term basis.

The firm expects heat supply to begin in early 2026, subject to normal planning, regulatory permitting and procurement cycles.

IGas Energy shares were trading 2.2% higher at 16.10 pence each in London on Monday morning.
