IN BRIEF: Barkby sleep tech subsidiary wins new audio partnership

Barkby Group PLC - Abingdon, England-based commercial property development and investment firm - Says subsidiary Cambridge Sleep Sciences has signed new partnership and license agreement with Bowers & Wilkins, part of the consumer audio division at US medical technology company Masimo Inc. Agreement allows CSS’s SleepEngine technology to be delivered through Bowers & Wilkins Audio products such as its Zeppelin wireless speaker and Px8 wireless headphones. Masimo Consumer Audio will be responsible for marketing and distribution. License is expected to generate ‘substantial’ revenue. Agreement is valid until December 31, 2025, and can be renewed for another three years by mutual consent.

CSS Chief Executive Officer Julian Stone says: ‘This deal shows significant progress in the growth of the CSS business...being able to offer our unique SleepEngine technology in such high-quality audio products will provide added value to customers and help many to improve their sleep, health and wellbeing. We look forward to working with the Masimo Consumer Audio team to successfully launch this and future technology solutions across their portfolio of products.’
