CleanTech Lithium PLC - Chile-focused lithium exploration and development company - Says first of two parts of $2 million direct lithium extraction pilot plant, ordered from Sunresin in the first quarter of 2023, have arrived at its facility in Copiapo, northern Chile. Installation is currently in progress. Order comprises the plant’s DLE columns and rotary valve. The second shipment, comprising an electrical cabinet, pumps and auxiliary equipment, should arrive in the coming weeks. CleanTech expects to finalise commissioning in the fourth quarter.

Chief Executive Officer Aldo Boitano says: ‘It is an exciting milestone for the company to see the DLE pilot plant equipment arrive...Once operational, our aim is to produce up to one tonne per month of lithium carbonate using direct lithium extraction, which, we believe, will be the future of lithium production in Chile.’
