JD Wetherspoon PLC - Watford, Hertfordshire-based pub and hotel chain - Company corrects purchase price of shares by Chair Tim Martin. Says Martin bought 968,544 shares on Friday last week at 700.41 pence per share, not 700.00p. This is worth £6.8 million in total. Martin, who opened the first Wetherspoon pub in 1979, now has 31.7 million shares, a 24.65% stake.
