Trifast PLC - Uckfield, England-based industrial fastenings firm - Further to announcement last month when Serena Lang was named chair-elect, Trifast confirms that Jonathan Shearman stepped down and retired from the board at the close of business on Thursday after 14 years with the company. Lang joined the board on August and formally took over the reins as chair on Thursday, as planned.

Says: ‘Serena’s executive career spans more than 20 years across multi-sector industries both in the UK and internationally. Her skills and understanding of commercial business, at varying stages of growth covering strategy, transformation and [mergers & acquisitions] will enhance the Trifast team’s capabilities. The board and senior management team look forward to working with Serena in her non-executive chair role as it continues to focus on the future, to deliver its growth strategy and, taking the business through the next phase of development.’
