Future Metals NL - West Perth-based exploration company, focused on the Panton platinum group metals project - Intends to appoint Patrick Walta as executive chair from November, after the company’s annual general meeting. Current Non-Executive Chair Justin Tremain is set to step down from his position. Future Metals’s last AGM was on November 7, 2022. Incoming executive chair Walta is a metallurgist and mineral economist with experience in mining and water treatment industries. Walta founded New Century Resources Ltd in 2017, whose mine in Queensland became the 13th largest zinc producer in the world. New Century was bought by Roodepoort, Gauteng, South Africa-based gold and platinum producer Sibanye-Stillwater Ltd early this year for about $83 million.
