IN BRIEF: CVS chair resigns due to ill health, finds interim successor

CVS Group PLC - Norfolk, England-based veterinary services provider - Chair Richard Connell resigns with immediate effect due to ill health. Senior Independent Director Deborah Kemp to become interim chair while the board begins a process to appoint a permanent successor. Says it will make a further announcement ‘at the appropriate time’.

Chief Executive Officer Richard Fairman says: ‘On behalf of the board and colleagues at CVS, I would like to thank Richard for his significant contribution during his tenure as chair and for his support to me personally. Richard has played a pivotal role in overseeing considerable growth in the group over the past 16 years and will be sorely missed.’

Current stock price: 1,396.11 pence, up 0.4% on Friday
