Land Securities Group PLC on Monday said it has appointed a new independent non-executive director who will replace Edward Bonham Carter as senior independent director.
The London-based commercial property developer and investor said Moni Mannings will join the board as a director, effective immediately, and will succeed Bonham Carter as senior independent director on April 1. Bonham Carter is leaving the board at Landsec’s annual general meeting in July after serving more than 10 years.
Mannings is currently a non-executive director at wealth manager Hargreaves Lansdown PLC and airline easyJet PLC.
‘Moni is a highly experienced and respected City lawyer with extensive property financing experience and also brings her experience of being a senior independent director and committee chair from other non-executive roles,’ said Chair Ian Cheshire.
Shares in Land Securities were down 0.1% to 643.00 pence each in London on Monday morning.
