Seed Innovations Ltd - investment firm focused on early-stage health, wellness and medical cannabis companies - Notes announcement by portfolio company Avextra AG, a German medical cannabis company, in which Seed holds a 3% stake.
Avextra enters a strategic, long-term partnership with the Instituto Universitario de Ciencias da Saude-Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politecnico e Universitario, focused on research and development of regulator-approved medicines based on the cannabis plant. Avextra will invest up to €15 million over five years, with the potential for even greater investment in R&D depending on the research results.
