Domino’s Pizza completes purchase of Shorecal after Irish approval

Domino’s Pizza Group PLC on Thursday said its acquisition of Shorecal Ltd has been completed, following clearance by the Republic of Ireland’s Competition & Consumer Protection Commission.

Milton Keynes, England-based Domino’s Pizza Group is the master franchise holder in the UK and Ireland for US pizza delivery brand owner Domino’s Pizza Inc.

Last month, Domino’s Pizza Group said it had agreed to buy the remaining 85% shareholding it didn’t already own in Shorecal for €72 million in cash and shares.

Shorecal is the largest Domino’s franchise business operating in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Domino’s shares were down 0.5% at 333.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
