Synectics PLC on Tuesday announced a new contract to provide the latest Synergy platform to an existing customer.

The Sheffield, England-based advanced security and surveillance systems firm said work relating to the contract, which is worth approximately $10 million, will begin later this year with completion expected by the end of the next financial year in November 2025.

Synectics will upgrade and expand the customers surveillance system at a major South-East Asian gaming resort in the casino and leisure sector.

Chief Executive Officer Paul Webb said: ‘The strength of Synergy’s capabilities and the quality of our support is evident by the fact that the customer, who has been working with Synectics since 2014, has committed to such a significant, long-term upgrade and expansion programme with us.’

The company and client are currently developing a detailed programme relating to the ‘complex’ project.

Synectics shares were up 8.5% to 191.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
