Senior PLC on Tuesday said that it has won a five-year contract by Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC for the supply of aerofoils for the Pearl engine family.
Senior is a Hertfordshire, England-based maker of components and systems for aerospace & defence, land vehicle, and power & energy customers. Rolls-Royce is a London-based jet engine maker.
‘The Pearl engine family is the power plant of choice on multiple in-production and upcoming ultra-long range business jet platforms,’ Senior explained.
Manufacturing will be undertaken at Senior Aerospace Thailand, Chonburi.
Launie Fleming, chief executive of Senior Aerospace, said: ‘Senior is proud to be recognised as a high-performance supplier to Rolls-Royce, and, with the award of this contract, delighted to have the opportunity to continue to provide our leading levels of quality, manufacturing expertise, and on-time delivery performance.’
Shares in Senior were up 0.5% to 162.40 pence each in London on Tuesday morning. Rolls-Royce shares rose 0.8% to 443.10p each.
