Vodafone Group PLC - Newbury, England-based telecommunications provider - Signs tentative accord with Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA to buy part of Hellenic’s wholly owned subsidiary Telekom Romania Mobile Communications SA. The deal would include Digi Romania SA, with Vodafone and Digi dividing up TKRM between them. Vodafone would buy the TKRM company and ‘a significant proportion of its assets’, while Digi would buy other assets. Vodafone says the parties still need to complete due diligence, and discussions remain at an early stage.
