Synectics PLC on Monday saw its shares climb as it revealed additional contract wins from National Grid.

The AIM-listed firm won its first contract under the framework agreement in October 2022 and, following this new deal, will be operating across 32 sites throughout National Grid’s estate.

Synectics’s newly rebranded division, Ocular Integration, formerly known as Security, will deliver the contracts and manage implementation and customer support.

Synectics Interim Chief Executive Amanda Larnder said: ‘We are delighted with the award of these additional contracts with National Grid.

‘It is paramount that such critical infrastructure sites and systems remain robust and secure, and Ocular has significant experience in successfully delivering these solutions.’

Larnder took up the role of chief executive alongside her role as chief financial officer in August following the sudden death of former chief executive Paul Webb.
