Smiths Group PLC - London-based engineering firm - Three directors buy shares on Wednesday, after Smiths releases a trading update. Chair Steve Williams buys 20,000 shares at £16.68, worth £333,600. Chief Executive Officer Roland Carter buys 7,618 shares at £16.98, worth £129,354. Non-Executive Director Mark Seligman buys 4,000 shares at £17.26, worth £69,058. Smiths on Wednesday raised its outlook on the back of a strong start to its financial year, and the company increased its share buyback after opting against pursuing an acquisition it had been considering.

Beeks Financial Cloud Group PLC - Glasgow-based cloud computing and connectivity provider for financial markets - CEO Gordon McArthur sells 300,000 shares at 259.74 pence, worth £779,223, on Wednesday. He still has 21.4 million shares, a 32% stake.

Hollywood Bowl Group PLC - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire-based ten-pin bowling centre operator - Chair Peter Boddy buys 100,000 shares at £3.20, worth £320,000, on Wednesday. He now has 639,839 shares, a 0.4% stake.
