Alphawave IP Group PLC Thursday announced a significant leadership transition, with Executive Chair John Lofton Holt stepping down for personal reasons, effective December 6.

The London-based designer of high-speed connectivity solutions said Jan Frykhammar, currently senior independent non-Executive director, will succeed Holt as non-executive chair. Frykhammar has been on the board since April 2021, and the company does not plan to appoint a new executive chair.

Alphawave also appointed Chief Financial Officer Rahul Mathur as chief operating officer, a role he will take on alongside his CFO responsibilities. Mathur will join the board of directors effective December 6. He has been with Alphawave since October 2023 and has a background in corporate finance, M&A, and strategic planning.

The company stated that remuneration details related to Holt’s departure will be disclosed on its website in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Shares in Alphawave were down 7.2% at 130.32 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
