Quiz PLC - Glasgow, Scotland-based womenswear brand - Reports financials for first half ended September 30. Pretax loss widens to £4.1 million from £1.5 million a year prior as revenue declines 7.6% to £39.1 million from £42.3 million. Company reaffirms its intention as stated on December 20 to delist from AIM and re-register as a private company. Targets January 23 cancellation date if proposed delisting is approval at its general meeting on January 8. Anticipates that its non-executive directors will step down from the board should the delisting proceed.

Further, says December trading has fallen short of expectations as in-store sales are less than the year prior, though online sales have remained consistent. As such, Quiz has not made up the £1.5 million on-year revenue shortfall incurred between August 1 and November 30 that it communicated earlier this month.
