Hays PLC - London-based recruitment company - Hires Michael Findlay to be its new non-executive chair. Findlay joins Hays on January 20 and succeeds Andrew Martin from May 1. Findlay currently is chair of Morgan Sindall Group PLC, a London-based construction firm, but he will leaves this role on July 28. He will remain non-executive chair of London Stock Exchange PLC, the stock market operating subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group PLC, and stays on as a non-executive director of International Distribution Services PLC and of Jarrold & Sons Ltd. Findlay is the former co-head of investment banking for UK & Ireland at Bank of America Corp.

Hays share price: up 1.5% at 75.80p in London midday Thursday

12-month change: down 25%

Morgan Sindall share price: down 1.3% at 3,695.00p

12-month change: up 68%
