The US non-farm unemployment rate remained at 3.6% in October, amid the addition of 128k jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The market had been expecting the jobless rate to remains steady, but with the creation of only 90k jobs.
Average hourly earnings rose 6 cents, or 0.2%, to $28.18, below expectations of a 0.3% rise.
