The average UK house price rose 1.0% in November on-month to £234,625, according to lender Halifax.
On an on-year basis, house prices rose 2.1%.
Halifax chief executive Russell Galley said prices had rebounded somewhat in November, following two months of modest falls.
'While a degree of uncertainty remains evident, it's also clear that buyers and sellers are responding to factors such as improved mortgage affordability and the limited supply of available properties,' he said.
