UK manufacturing PMI slumped to 34.5 in March, says IHS Markit

The UK manufacturing purchasing managers' index slumped to 34.5 in March, down from 53.2 in February, according to a 'final' reading from IHS Markit.

The market had expected a slightly shallower fall to 34.7 from the previous 'flash' reading of 35.7.
