UK second-quarter GDP falls by a record 20%; bounces back in June

UK gross domestic product slumped by a record 20.4% in the second quarter, according for the Office for National Statistics.

GDP, however, showed signs of recovery in the latter part of the period, rising 8.7% in the month of June, bettering expectations of an 8.1% rise.
