Income funds
Funds that aim to generate an income for investors. To achieve this, income fund managers invest largely in assets which provide income or dividends.
The income paid out may vary from month to month, depending on the dividends the fund generates – which are paid by the companies owned by the fund’s underlying investments. See also growth fund.
