‘International Securities Identification Number’. An ISIN is an international standard for identifying individual investments.

Every ISIN is 12 digits long, alphanumeric, and begins with two letters representing the country of registration. (For example, Vodafone’s ISIN is GB00BH4HKS39). See also SEDOL.
